About Us

Located at the Darling 888 Ranch in Princeton, KY, Maddux Equine Services started in 2011 as an equine only veterinary facility.  The practice serves a variety of horses in many different disciplines and offers a wide range of services from sports and internal medicine to reproduction, dentistry, and herd health.

Our team believes that each horse deserves the highest level of care whether they are an athletic performance horse or back yard pet.  We will strive to fully diagnose and investigate your horse’s condition, and then decide with you, the best treatment options for your horse.  We also believe that prevention is the best form of treatment and our team will work with you to keep your horse healthy and working and feeling its best.

The practice utilizes some of the most advanced diagnostic imaging tools in the industry, such as digital radiography and digital ultrasonography.  We also have in house blood analysis, power dental equipment, and sports medicine/rehabilitation equipment.  For more advanced diagnostics such as MRI and surgery, referral to some of the best equine hospitals in the world is available. Consultation with some of the leading veterinarians, farriers, and equine dentists in the country is another tool that our practice utilizes to better serve your horse.

The practice serves Western Kentucky and the surrounding area.  We offer in clinic appointments and hospitalization as well as ambulatory farm calls. The clinic, which is completely heated during the winter, includes a large exam room and six large foaling stalls, all equipped with cameras, and three of which are equipped with fluid hangers.

However, if you can't come to us, we can come to you since the majority of examinations, procedures, and diagnostics that can be performed in the clinic can also be performed right at your doorstep.
